It is the method for using higher-level OKRs to guide teams and individuals in developing their OKRs. Cascading helps to align the company together. A company-wide objective, for instance, could be to become the region’s leading electric car dealership, with a key result (KR) of accounting for 60% of all-electric vehicles. As the objective cascades down, the sales manager’s KR may become his objective, with his key result saying: Increase the number of cars sold by 55 percent over the previous year. The sales executive reporting to the sales manager can turn that KR into his objective.
